Texas Interhash 2009 - pre lube

Allright, it's been way to long...so here I am trying to catch up on the weekends as they float by with so much stuff planned. Can't complain, it's been loads of fun.

A month ago, I drove down to Texas to visit family and also attend the 2009 TXIH event north of Ft. Worth. The drive was pretty quick, as I got help from RC who was visiting in California and said she'd be into going to Texas and seeing friends too. We drove into Austin, Tx. from the bay area in about 2 days..driving straight through. Stopping briefly to sleep once and the second time we stopped at her brothers house in West Texas.

There was a party at Knave's house, as was traditionally done before, and we just got to catching up and drinking as we waited for all the other hashers to show up, on Thursday.

Got a phone call from Donnie saying his bike won't start...apparently, you need to start it more than once a month to keep the battery charged. hahahahaha after some direction (which Slut Slinger also got after he called and said his bike wouldn't start either) they got the bikes rolling and made it out.

It was a long night of drinking, bbq, talking large, and singing karaoke. priceless. It was also good to be out of the truck and not sitting anymore...or sleeping in the truck either.

Some photos from the trip and Thursday night....

Oil derics in New Mexico in the late evening.

Passing through portions off the hill country.

At Knave's house as the hashers from San Antonio arrive.
Guam's new Harley Davidson motorcycle, Fire Fighter edition.
F.U. Knave cooking it up.
Piling bikes wherever they will fit.
Two cromos.....in one place.....at the same time? unheard of! hahahaha My bike and my brothers bike.
Donnie, hearts BJ's. (Border Jumpers H3) :D
Some loser who loves L.A. Lakers showed up...sheesh, it's all we could do to keep the gheyness to a minimum.
The next morning, hungover, we piled the bikes out to the street for the obligatory group shot before starting the ride..which by all acounts is about 280 miles...but by Knuckledragger standards, it will be an all day affair. hahaha
Dude's cromo. Sick exhaust pipes.
Da man in black!
So one of the female hashers from San Antonio wanted her two wheeled vehicle in on the pics...Donnie obliged by putting man stink all over it.
The group shot...who is missing...oh yeah, Slut Slinger...cause he's not awake yet...and is usually late anyway. haha He caught up to us somewhere off IH-35
The ride north was decent, we came out onto the new toll ways that bypass Austin...a godsend for those that have ever dealt with Austin traffic (worst shit I've ever seen) problem was, that they didn't have manned booths, and no one had coins on them. so after we delayed one of the on-ramps onto the toll way, we got going. There were stops and gas stops, and trying to cruise along without losing everyone, made the hours tick by.

By midday, people were getting hungry, and we seemed to be so far away still. The campsite was at a Mtn bike ranch, almost at the Oklahoma border. It took us 7 hours to go 280 miles. hahahahahahaha
